For more than five decades the Farmville Housing Authority has been opening doors to comfort — providing safe, decent and affordable homes for families in Farmville and the surrounding towns and counties.

Your neighbors in housing

The Farmville Housing Authority provides subsidized housing assistance across three communities in Farmville, North Carolina. We serve the Town of Farmville with a smile — and with the resources to help families find a comfortable home.

Our mission

To provide safe, decent and affordable housing; to create opportunities for residents’ self-sufficiency and economic independence; and assure fiscal integrity by program participants.

Our history

Five decades, one neighborhood at a time

From the first 150 apartments to today’s three communities, here is how FHA grew.

  1. 1968

    Planning & construction begin

    Work starts on the Authority’s first 150 apartments.

  2. 1971

    First residents move in

    FHA welcomes its first occupants to Site #1.

  3. 1981

    Pine Grove Apartments

    A multi-family property of 35 apartments is added.

  4. 1991

    24 more homes

    Site #2 adds 24 public housing apartments.

  5. Today

    209 apartments

    Subsidized housing for Farmville and surrounding towns and counties.
