Routine repair

Something in your apartment needs fixing but can wait for a working day? Call the office to request a work order. Maintenance staff respond to requests 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

After-hours emergency

Emergency calls are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. An emergency is a repair that cannot wait until the next working day. If you call the office after hours, the answering machine will also give you the emergency numbers.

Will I be charged for a repair?

No charge

If the repair is due to normal wear and tear, the resident will not be charged.

Charged

If the resident, a household member, guest or visitor is responsible for the damage, a charge will be posted to the leaseholder’s rental account.

Handled by priority

All work order requests are prioritized and responded to in order of urgency.

Request it first

Repairs are not allowed unless a request has been made at the Administrative Office.

Unit inspections

Inspections help make sure every Farmville Housing Authority apartment stays a comfortable place to live.

The purpose of our unit inspections is to ensure that all units are decent, safe, sanitary and in good repair.

At least once a year
Every unit is required to be inspected at least annually.
48-hour notice
Units may be inspected at any time with 48 hours’ advance notice to the resident.
